It was like "starsky and hutch"
Friday 30th April 2004 was the day that Andy and Marisa had hoped to get things sorted. Having previously arranged a Police presence to ensure that Law and Order prevailed, it was just like TV with cars, vans and police swooping down on the centre. The following extract is from an email by Andy to his solicitor:

The Sad Demise of....

we arranged for a police woman to attend the centre. however, the wpc would not allow us to remove any items due to not wanting to get involved in deciding which bit belonged to whom. what was a little annoying was that mrs beaven got on the phone and allegedly got her solicitor to speak to the wpc. however, later in the discussions it came out that they admitted they did not have a solicitor!
The 6th May meeting that had been hard-fought to secure was "eventful" but unproductive, resulting in no further progress or decision being made.

Mrs Beaven and her Father were interviewed in a separate room by Andy's Solicitor prior to the meeting. Unfortunately she chose to lose her temper and her rantings were overheard next door. The Solicitor called a halt to proceedings deeming them a waste of everyone's time.

And finally, an email extract on May 23rd 2004 from an advertising company, which sent its invoice to TMAC at the Park.
[NOTE: the solicitor had backed off, being confronted with a "conflict of interest" situation, having represented both parties at one point]

after lengthy discussions we pinned them down to agreeing to attend your offices with their "solicitor" on wednesday, where the situation will be discussed.

they have again stated they are not paying us or giving us any of the mats. Yet, they have purchased 2 leather chairs for the foyer and carpeted the toilet area, and have plans to refurbish the holistic therapy room.
Re: Invoice 63270 - £117.50 The above invoice is now well overdue for payment. All correspondence is being returned, marked 'Gone Away'. We have forwarded you a statement and Melksham Residents' Handbook to your private address, and would appreciate a cheque by return please.
